    This is a paranormal…no, monster romance…wait, it’s a demon romance 🤭so make sure you’re into that before reading. Oh, and this will be a smut filled story with horns 😏so again, make sure you know what this means before reading. 

    This is a smut story, but don’t worry. There is an actual story here in this novella. Honestly, I am not sure how H.N.DeFore was able to fit so much into the story. 

    Alright, for example Moira, the FMC has a sh*t life. Like, she’s got ballet, but like garbage family and one friend who actually cares for her. She’s coming out of a garbage relationship with a dude who is not only an adult virgin, but also classist. He dumps her because she isn’t of his elk. Don’t worry, he gets what’s coming to him 😏

    I tell you all this because Moira has some drama in her life that we get to see and then she also meets a demon and his companion Killian. Oh, and Killian who isn’t a true demon because he was human at one point also has his own backstory, which we learn about. 

    Spoiler his life also sucked. It seems if you’ve got a sh*t life the best option is to get this Yule book and summon the demon Yule because it’s just bliss after that 🤭

    Now, we don’t learn too much about Yule, but we learn some lore about this book and why Yule maybe isn’t as well known as he should be. We also get kind of an explanation about the inheritance of the book, but not too much. It’s a novella after all. 

    There is also some primal play. It happens once in the book and it’s sorta towards the end after Moira’s fight with her ex-boyfriend. 

    Oh, and the first time Moira meets Yule it might be a little dubious, so keep that in mind. 

    It’s a great Yule time story and part one of The Christmas Playlist series.

    Who doesn’t like a sentient object romance?! We fucking love them ❤ 

    With this story you not only have sentient object romances, but now a hockey romance as well *big eyes* WHAT?!

    This was our first hockey romance, and we might be sports romance girlies now. Let’s be clear, it’s like a *wink* *wink* sports romance. They maybe play hockey like twice in the book max LOL.

    The story is mostly focused on the sentient romance part, which again, we love.

    This is also a college romance, so the hockey is college hockey and not like the big leagues, whatever that’s called NHL?

    Alright, Iris is the FMC and she’s like, got the She’s All That, nerdy girl vibe going. Think alt girl. She seems to be friends with like, the hot girls or like, the cool girls. Not really sure how to describe Cora other than she’s a literal witch *big eyes* 

    Iris is coming out of a very toxic maybe even borderline abusive relationship with a football player maybe. We actually see some of this in the story. We don’t see see it, but we come pretty close, so keep that in mind as a potential trigger warning. Like, we see maybe why Iris might be why she is regarding her body and sexual partners. 

    Lachlan is a hockey player and he is one of five, yeah, five hockey players who gets turned into vibrators. Yup! That’s their fate LOLs.

    From book one we learn that Cora, who works at an adult toy store has been handing out these sentient vibrators to people. Almost in a kind of match maker type setting. Yeah, not sure how we feel about Cora. She’s kind of a lot…I wonder if she’ll get her own book. 

    This is a HEA story which means Lachlan and Iris figure themselves out, but there is soooo much drama before they get there. I mean, remember they are college kids, wich we are both glad we are not college kids, but also damn! College kids have dramatic lives that also seem fun. 

    Oh, not sure if this needs to be said, but this is a smut book so there is boinking in all forms. 

    This is book one, so go read it so you can read book two when it comes out.

    The audiobook is the ONLY way to read this book. I promise, you will not be disappointed at all *drool* there are four narrators in duet format, and the narrators do a phenomenal job. I love them all *squeals* 

    Yes, this is a scrooge retelling however, it has a fat FMC as the lead, which by the way we love and are totally both obsessed with and jealous of Greer. It’s also smutty as hell, so please keep this in mind when you read. 

    The christmases are three Nephilim and do we get to see all three *drool* and they are also in a relationship with each other before they meet Greer. This is a HEA story, so you know that means Greer gets to join this tripod. Godsdamns I want her life. 

    Okay, besides all the smut there really is a story here. Calm down before you start screaming porn *eye roll*. Yes, everything you know about scrooge is there. Greer sees her present, past, and future. Of course, like in all the scrooge stories, each one is tragic and sad. We see Greer go through her character arc and it’s sad and beautiful. I was kind of upset she made-up with her family, but that’s just me. I think Kalya Grosse, the author, was being generous there because I was not a fan of that mother. 

    However, Greer isn’t the only who goes through changes. The Nephilim also go through changes though theirs is slightly different everyone is learning something new about themselves and each other. 

    How do I get you to understand how fantastic this book is? We cried like two or three times for various reason. Like, Greer’s shit life made us sad. Then the Nephilim, which we love, just know how to say the right things at the right time and it’s so healing ❤ 

    Oh, you know how this is hella smutty. The smut is kind of healing. Like Greer isn’t just trying to make herself better because she’s a scrooge. She’s healing herself. As a fat girl she’s been treated like crap by men just in general and these three Nephilim dudes are here to heal all those wounds. It’s beautiful. 

    Go listen to this damn book as it’s the only way. This is the story you’ve been looking for *wink*

    This is a MONSTER ROMANCE so please make sure you know what you are getting into before starting this book. This book is also spicy, again, make sure you know what you are getting into before starting this book.

    This is book 3 in The Unusualities Series, however, we have not read books one and two because we are chaos readers and started this series on book 3.

    We had no problems doing this. Yes, we miss the depth of the side-characters because those were main characters in books one & two, but book 3 isn’t about them, so it worked out for us.

    Book 3 follows Pete and Kelly on their journey of finding love, each other, and for Kelly, herself. Kelly is a girl in her 30’s living in Boston trying to figure out friendship because we all know at that age everyone is coupling-up and creating their own families.

    Also, Kelly is boss babeing it and already has her own business and is now starting another as a wedding planner. Girl is in need of some help financially and just with life. However, this isn’t her biggest issue or hang-up.

    Kelly is a siren, a winged woman, and she has some generational trauam she’s maybe questioning healing from. Through Kelly we get great lore on sirens and being a woman in general. The gist is Kelly’s grandmother was captured or lured by a man and forced to married and essentially live as a clipped bird.

    This turns into Kelly has some commitment issues when it comes to romantic relationships. Don’t worry, Pete, the troll, comes into her life and teaches her that men can be pillars and that they wait for her. He allows her to come to him when she is ready. What a beautiful man. Oh and he’s quite the giver * smirk*

    Go read book three and the rest of the series while you’re at it. We will 🙂
